Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Hoping for a Baby Girl, But…

Alongside celebrating her 37th birthday, Rihanna had even more reasons to be joyful—A$AP Rocky was acquitted of all charges in the assault case against him. On February 20, the rapper was found not guilty, allowing the couple to mark the occasion with relief and happiness.

Their legal victory came as they continue building their growing family, adding another milestone to their journey together.

The Name for Baby No. 3

During the trial, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky made a surprising announcement—they have already picked out a name for their third child.

According to Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, the couple spontaneously shared their decision in court.

"Rihanna and Rocky grabbed me and said, ‘Listen, our next baby is going to be named A$AP Joe,’” Tacopina revealed.

While the name is yet to be made official, it highlights the close bond between Rocky and his lawyer. After the verdict, Rocky embraced Tacopina and expressed his gratitude, telling him: “I love you, man. You’re like family to me.”

A Growing Family and Future Plans

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky already have two sons—RZA (2 years old) and Riot (18 months). While rumors about a third pregnancy haven’t been confirmed, Rihanna has frequently expressed her desire to expand their family.

Back in 2020, she told British Vogue:

"I’m going to have kids. Three or four, definitely.”

That vision became clearer during her Super Bowl halftime performance in 2023, where she revealed her second pregnancy. At the time, she stated:

"I’m open to whatever. I’d love to have more kids, but I trust whatever plan God has for me."

Hoping for a Baby Girl

Despite already having two sons, Rihanna is hoping her next child will be a girl. However, she acknowledges that another boy might be in the cards.

"I’d say there’s a 75% chance it’s another boy, but we’re hoping and praying for the best," she shared.

Rihanna also reflected on how motherhood has changed her perspective. Before becoming a parent, she didn’t have a clear vision of what her family would look like.

"You don’t really know. You just hope you’ll have kids, love them, and build a family that breaks generational curses, pushes boundaries, and raises children better than you were raised," Rihanna explained.

And, as she puts it, that’s exactly what’s happening. She remains amazed at everything they’ve built together as a family.
